When Man Removes God

This reading is for the believer who wants steadier confidence and for the skeptic willing to examine the ground beneath unbelief. It asks what becomes of life, consciousness, morality, evil, and meaning when man removes God from the explanation. Scripture reveals that denying God does not remove God, denying the soul does not make man merely material, and denying moral law does not erase the law written on the heart. The question is not whether God has left Himself without witness. The question is why man looks away.

Judgment, Mercy, and the Character of God

This reading is written to encourage Christians to consider what we know, and what we don't know. Hell is often a pressure point for Christians and non-believers alike, when trying to reconcile God's Mercy with His absolute justice. The goal is not to produce a complete understanding, but to accept that Scripture consistently tells us that God's thoughts are not fully accessible. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Am I Lukewarm?

“I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm… I will spit you out of my mouth.” This is often interpreted as: “If your faith is not intense enough, you are in danger.” But relative to the Church in Laodicea, this may be referring to something else. There is important context to consider.
